Yesterday we had a great event at Bite the Hand Studios to bring attention to The Underground Free Press! It was great! We had three computers set up for people to explore what TUFP is up to, and we had lots of live music. The Semi-Evolved Simians, Bill Wild, Mark Growden, Batman Versus Predator, The Highlands, Hannah Simone, Hanna Manfredi, and Andrew Maurer and more performed! There was also drumming and jamming in the backyard and Food Not Bombs food for everyone!
This was Bite the Hand’s first official “sounding,” and event that pairs local artists wit local activists. Yesterday we were celebrating and exploring the amazing things that The Underground Free Press is doing to strengthen the music scene in Sonoma County. Together with groups like The Underground Free Press, Operation Venue, Lost Lamp, Buildings Building Themselves, and others, we are really beginning to transform out community into something very powerful. This is a really good thing, folks.
Be sure to check out The Underground Free Press here: www.theundergroundfreepress.com
When will our next Sounding event be? What musical acts will perform? What local activist group will be featured? Keep dropping by our website and keep picking up The Pharmakon tp stay informed…

Bite the Hand Productions put on a great event yesterday. Loads of artists and activists came by our studios and created squares for a huge community quilt. Now we have over 20 beautiful squares to put into our grand work of collaborative art! We will have the whole quilt patched together in the next few months, so keep stopping by this website to be there for the unveiling.
Oh, what an event the sewing was! Food Not Bombs was there, Annie the Ghost was there, Lost Lamp was there, Bite the Hand Society was there, and MANY more! We sat by the crackling fire at Bite the Hand Studios and ate and made art to music for about 7 hours straight! The musicians were phenomenal and we have decided to feature each one of them on this web page over the next few weeks. So keep checking us out!
The Sonoma County Quilting Project was a hell of an event, one that would not have been possible without the work of Celeste Turconi, who prepared all of the materials that went into our amazing art. She is a key person in Food Not Bombs, Free Mind Media, Copwatch, and now Bite the Hand Productions. Thank you for all the things you do with your community, Celeste. We at Bite the Hand Productions salute you! Long may the quilt fly!

Bite the Hand Productions is founding a society at Sonoma State University! We will be using the society to provide more artistic and activist opportunities for university students and for our local community. Here are three main goals of that we will be working on:
We are going through the chartering process right now and will be having meetings and events very soon! Keep checking our web site for updates!
Are you a JC or SSU student? We want to have more members among SSU students. We also want to start up a society at the JC. E-mail us at thepharmakon@gmail.com if you are interested!

We’ve been away from the computer for a few days and haven’t been able to add any posts to the web page. But now… we’re back and writing away!!
It’s really important to Bite the Hand Productions that we keep this website updated daily. We thank everyone who has come on by to check out what we are up to. Keep on visiting us frequently and keep on leaving comments! Heck, make it your homepage!
Anyway, there is a lot of great Bite the Hand action coming your way soon. The next issue of The Pharmakon will be coming out in a matter of days. We are preparing for a Bite the Hand Society at Sonoma State and are also preparing for a community quilt day at Free Mind Media later this month. Oh, and Bryce Style will be publishing a book with us soon. Keep in touch, folks!
