Sonoma County is dangerously low on venues for artistic expression. Underground shows are very important, but there are certain things we need legitimate venues for.

Where else can we get our art into the public eye?

How else can our artists be taken seriously?

Without venues, how can we attract out-of-town acts to share with?

Do all of our local acts need to go on tour if they want to play in a public place?

This is crazy.

Operation: Venue, a Bite the Hand project, is based on the assumption that a community needs community space for its artists to share work their with the public. With it, we intend to support the creation of new venues of expression in Sonoma County as well as help out the existing ones.
